Late July heat and humidity will linger across the Mid-Missouri River Valley through Tuesday, before t-storm chances and a welcome cool off arrive later in the week.

Rounds of shower and thunderstorm activity will continue across the Mid-Missouri River Valley late Friday evening.

A Flood Watch has been issued for all of Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas from 4 p.m. Thursday, July 24 through 4 a.m. Saturday, July 25

High heat and humidity will continue across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas for the next several afternoons. Periods of sunshine and a few spotty t-storm chances also remain in the forecast, with the best chance for t-storms arriving by Thursday.

Showers and thunderstorms have delivered a break from excessive heat Monday afternoon and evening across the Mid-Missouri River Valley. High heat and humidity will ramp back up by Tuesday afternoon as sunshine returns. Excessive heat is forecast to settle into the region through much of the work week.
