Tracking frost potential, late-week rain chances

Clear skies and cool temperatures will persist across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas Wednesday evening, promoting another chilly night. Scattered frost is once again possible by early Thursday morning, as low temperatures fall to near freezing.

A Frost Advisory has been issued for much of Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas from 2 A.M. to 9 A.M. Thursday. Cold sensitive vegetation should be protected in the advisory area.

Mostly sunny and seasonably cool conditions Thursday will give way to increasing cloud coverage Thursday night as a low pressure system spreads moisture back into the region. Cloudy skies and passing showers are anticipated to develop Friday, and could linger into  parts of Saturday.
