Tracking rain chances late tonight, mild and dry weekend

Dry skies and seasonable temperatures will continue across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas Thursday afternoon and evening, before scattered shower and t-storm chances develop late Thursday night and early Friday morning. Dry and quiet conditions return Friday afternoon and persist through the weekend with a modest warming trend bringing high temperatures 5 to 10 degrees above average.

Partly cloudy skies and mid 70s Thursday afternoon will give way to mostly cloudy skies and a 40% chance of t-showers after midnight. Rain and t-storm chances will linger early Friday morning with lows falling into the 50s. Sunshine and warmer temperatures return Friday afternoon with highs near 80 degrees. Passing clouds and periods of sunshine hold steady into the weekend, with highs in the upper 70s Saturday and low to mid 80s on Sunday.
