Tracking daily t-storm chances, seasonably mild air

Scattered shower and thunderstorm chances will continue across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas through the work week, promoting less high intensity heat and more seasonably mild conditions.

Partly cloudy skies and a 40% chance of showers and t-storms remains Wednesday afternoon and evening, most storms will remain non-severe. Gusty winds, locally heavy rainfall and small hail are possible. Afternoon 80s will give way to overnight lows in the 60s with isolated to scattered rain chances lingering.

Higher chances for rain arrive Thursday morning and early afternoon as another disturbance passes through the area. Once again, most storms will remain sub-severe, although gusty winds, small hail, and locally heavy rainfall are possible. Considerable cloud coverage will keep temperatures cooler Thursday, with afternoon highs in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees.

Rain chances will gradually decrease Friday and into the weekend with sunshine becoming more prevalent and afternoon highs in the low 80s.
