Tracking warm days, cool nights, minimal rain chances

Warm days, cool nights, and mainly dry conditions will continue across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas for the next several days as below average temperatures persist and rain chances remain slim to none.

Partly to mostly sunny skies and upper 70s Tuesday afternoon will give way to mostly clear skies and cooler temperatures overnight as lows fall into the low to mid 50s and winds remain light. Sunshine early Wednesday will be followed up by increasing clouds for the afternoon, with highs in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees and light southerly winds at 5 to 10 mph. A 20% chance of light showers arrives Wednesday night and Thursday as a low pressure system passes south and west of the region, better rain chances will exist south of the I-70 corridor with most areas remaining dry locally despite periods of increased cloud cover through Thursday. Rain chances exit the area completely to finish out the work week and start the weekend, with afternoon highs in the low 80s and overnight lows in the mid to upper 50s.
