Tracking early week t-storm chances

Spotty t-storm chances and hot, humid conditions will continue across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas Monday and Tuesday, before dry skies and seasonable temperatures build into the region later in the week.

Partly cloudy skies and a 30% chance of isolated t-storms will linger Monday evening and overnight, with temperatures falling from the low 90s early to the mid 70s after midnight. Tuesday brings another shot of isolated t-storms with rain chances around 30% and a mix of clouds and sunshine. Highs Tuesday afternoon will rise into the low 90s, and humid air will result in heat index values topping out near 100 degrees.

Wednesday marks the start of drier days, with sunshine returning and rain chances slacking off. Temperatures will remain toasty Wednesday, but seasonably so, with highs in the upper 80s rather than 90s. Sunshine and afternoon 80s are anticipated to persist through the end of the work week, with below average temperatures possible by the weekend.
