Tracking sunshine, hotter days ahead

Partly cloudy skies and a 20% of stray t-showers will linger across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas Tuesday evening with lots of sunshine and a steady warming trend building across the region through the week.

Lows tonight will fall into the mid 60s after midnight with light winds and a chance for patchy fog by early Wednesday morning. Mostly sunny skies prevail Wednesday with afternoon highs in the mid 80s and light northerly winds. Southerly breezes return Thursday with sunshine sticking around, allowing afternoon highs to climb into the upper 80s. Low 90s are in the forecast by Friday afternoon with humid conditions likely supporting feels like temperatures near 100 degrees.
