Tracking August heat and sunshine, isolated rain chances
August heat and humidity are making a come-back as the work week progresses, along with plenty of sunshine and a few isolated t-storm chances. Mostly sunny skies and mid 80s Tuesday afternoon will give way to a mild and dry night with lows falling into the mid to low 60s after midnight. A 20% chance of stray showers and t-storms arrives Wednesday, with most remaining dry through the day. Afternoon highs Wednesday will warm into the upper 80s under partly to mostly sunny skies, with heat index values peaking in the low to mid 90s. Aside from another slight chance of stray t-storms Wednesday night and early Thursday morning, dry and mostly sunny skies persist through the end of the work week. Temperatures begin climbing into the low 90s both Thursday and Friday afternoon. Muggy conditions will support heat indices in the upper 90s, potentially approaching triple digits through the start of this weekend.
