Tracking a cool and dry mid-week, weekend showers

Partly sunny skies Wednesday afternoon will give way to increasing clouds for the evening as a weak disturbance passes across Northeast Kansas and Northwest Missouri. Most will remain dry, with a 10% chance of a stray shower after 7 PM. Temperatures overnight will fall into the mid 40s late, with clearing skies and northwesterly breezes at 10-15 mph. Sunshine will prevail Thursday, with northerly winds persisting and afternoon highs in the upper 60s. Friday will bring an increase in cloud cover and a slight chance of evening showers, ahead of widespread rain chances this weekend.
