Tracking a warm and breezy end to the week

Dry, warm, and breezy conditions are forecast to finish out the work week and start the weekend before rain and t-storm chances return late Sunday. Aside from a few passing clouds Thursday evening, mostly clear skies will continue tonight with southwest winds at 10 to 20 mph, gusting to 30 mph early before becoming lighter after sunset. Temperatures will fall into the 50s by sunrise Friday. Partly cloudy skies Friday morning will give way to sunshine for the afternoon, with highs in the low 80s and westerly winds at 15 to 25 mph, occasionally gusting over 30 mph. A weak cold front Friday evening will allow for a slightly cooler Saturday, as high temperatures reach the mid to upper 70s with northwesterly breezes and partly to mostly sunny skies. Scattered thunderstorm chances return by Sunday afternoon and evening as a low pressure system approaches the region. Unsettled weather will continue into the start of next week, including the potential for a few stronger storms.
