Tracking Friday evening t-showers; mostly sunny weekend

Splash and dash showers and thunderstorms will continue to push across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas late Friday afternoon and evening. A few storms may contain small hail and gusty winds through sunset, with a 40% - 60% chance of precipitation locally. Skies will slowly clear late Friday night and temperatures will fall to the low 40s by early Saturday morning with light northerly breezes at 5 to 10 mph. Partly to mostly sunny skies will prevail Saturday and afternoon highs will rise to the mid 60s as northerly winds at 10 to 15 mph keep conditions on the cool side. Mostly sunny skies will continue Sunday, with a modest warm-up for the afternoon as highs reach the upper 60s to low 70s. Mild and dry conditions will persist into the start of next week, before rain chances return in the extended forecast.
