Tracking cloudy skies and lingering rain chances

Mostly cloudy skies and scattered showers will linger across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas through the next 24 to 48 hours, as a low pressure system slowly passes through the region. Overcast conditions and a 40% chance of t-showers Wednesday evening will continue into Wednesday night, with lows falling into the mid 50s after midnight and light easterly breezes. Mostly cloudy skies will once again prevail Thursday with a 30% - 40% chance of scattered t-showers through the day. Thursday afternoon highs will reach the upper 60s to low 70s with northwest winds at 10 to 15 mph. Peaks of sunshine will return on Friday, despite a 20% chance of stray t-showers for the afternoon with highs reaching the mid to upper 60s. High pressure will dominate the region this weekend, bringing an end to rain chances and plentiful sunshine. Highs will reach the low to mid 70s both Saturday and Sunday.
