Tracking a warm and sunny late-week, mainly dry Labor Day weekend

Warm sunny afternoons and cool clear nights will make for a fair end to the work week and start to the weekend. Periods of cloud cover and slight rain chances are slated to return Sunday and into Labor day with temperatures remaining mild.

Partly to mostly sunny skies and temperatures near 80 degrees Thursday afternoon lead into a cool and dry night with lows falling into the upper 50s after midnight and light winds. Sunshine prevails Friday promoting a warm afternoon with highs in the low to mid 80s. Saturday will bring another afternoon of sunshine and a few passing clouds, with highs once again reaching the low to mid 80s.

A series of weak disturbances will bring extra clouds and slight rain chances Saturday night, Sunday, and Monday. Rain is not anticipated to be widespread, and most areas will remain on the dry side despite opportunities for spotty shower activity through Labor Day.
