Tracking mainly dry and toasty days ahead

Mainly dry and toasty days are ahead for Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas, with only a handful of slight rain chances and a steady warming trend through the work week. A passing disturbance will bring a few extra clouds and a 10% to 20% chance of stray sprinkles Monday afternoon and evening. Skies remain dry overnight, with calm conditions and lows falling to near 60 degrees after midnight. Mostly sunny skies return Tuesday, along with an afternoon warm-up as highs reach the low to mid 80s. Partly cloudy skies and a slight chance of early morning and late evening showers arrives Wednesday. Temperatures will trend warmer through mid to late week as seasonably hot conditions return to the region, promoting highs in the upper 80s to low 90s through the weekend.
