Tracking mid-week heat, scattered t-storms

Heat and humidity will continue building across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas for the next 24 to 36 hours, with isolated to scattered t-storm chances developing in multiple rounds Wednesday and into Thursday. A few storms may produce damaging winds and locally heavy rainfall, especially on Wednesday evening. Mostly sunny skies and low 90s Tuesday afternoon will give way to partly cloudy skies and a 20% - 30% chance of t-storms after midnight. Lows will fall into the mid to low 70s by early Wednesday morning. A slight chance of t-storms will linger through 10 AM Wednesday, before periods of afternoon sunshine allows temperatures to warm into the low to mid 90s with heat indices topping out in the triple digits. A second round of scattered t-storms will re-develop after 3 PM Wednesday, with a 30% - 40% chance of t-storms  through the evening and into Wednesday night. Some storms may be severe late Wednesday, damaging wind gusts and locally heavy rainfall will be the primary hazards. Periods of cloud cover and scattered rain/t-storm chances linger Thursday, and temperatures will cool considerably. Highs Thursday afternoon will only reach the mid to upper 70s,  before a warming trend promotes 80s and 90s by Friday and Saturday.
