This afternoon, skies have cleared, allowing for sunshine with a few clouds. Tonight, we will remain mostly dry, though there is a slight chance for spotty showers. Temperatures will cool to the low 60s for the overnight low.

Tomorrow, showers will begin in the morning and continue into the lunchtime hour. A strong thunderstorm is possible, but the severity of the storms will remain south of Highway 36 toward the Kansas City metro area, where they could produce damaging winds and sizable hail. After those showers and thunderstorms pass through our area, skies will remain dry. Afternoon highs will be in the mid-70s, which is below-average for this time of year.

There is a slight chance for a brief shower Sunday, but we will remain mostly dry, with temperatures staying more seasonable, reaching the low 80s for afternoon highs. Dry and seasonable conditions will continue into next week.
