Tracking late-week rain chances

Partly sunny and dry conditions have returned to Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas after Tuesday’s heavy rainfall. Despite passing clouds Wednesday evening and overnight, conditions will remain dry with lows falling into the upper 50s after midnight and light northeast breezes. Partly sunny skies and a dry start to Thursday will give way to a 20% - 30% chance of t-showers after 1 PM. Highs Thursday will reach the low to mid 70s, and winds will remain light through the day. Increased cloud cover and a 40% chance for scattered showers and t-storms will arrive Friday, with afternoon highs in the mid to upper 70s. Garden variety thunderstorms are anticipated Friday, and severe weather is not expected locally. Aside from a few slight rain chances this weekend, mainly dry and mild weather will prevail with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s and a 20% chance of stray t-showers on Saturday.
