Tracking a cool and dry weekend

Showers will linger across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas Friday evening, with a dry-out on tap for the weekend. Temperatures will remain below average through the weekend, with a chance for scattered frost by Sunday morning. Cool, cloudy, and damp conditions continue tonight, with a 60% chance of showers and lows falling into the low 40s to upper 30s. Northeasterly breezes at 10 to 20 mph will add a chill to the air through the overnight time frame. Rain chances will exit the area by late  Saturday morning, with clouds lingering through much of the day. Afternoon highs will reach the upper 40s to low 50s with northerly winds at 15 to 25 mph. Colder air will move into the region Saturday night as skies clear. Low temperatures Sunday morning will fall to near freezing, bringing the potential for scattered frost.
