Tracking a cool and dry Halloween weekend

Cool and dry conditions continue across the Mid-Missouri River Valley for Halloween, with increasing clouds as a disturbance passes through the region. Temperatures fall from the 50s through the 40s after sunset, with light northwest breezes and lows bottoming out in the low 30s after midnight. Scattered frost is possible early Saturday morning, although a hard freeze is not expected.

Periods of cloud coverage will linger Saturday with dry skies continuing and afternoon highs in the upper 40s to near 50 degrees.  Saturday night brings another sharp cool-off, with lows falling to near 30 degrees and frost likely by Sunday morning. Mostly sunny skies return Sunday along with a modest warm-up as highs return to the upper 50s.

A warming trend develops across the region next week, allowing high temperatures to rise into the mid to upper 60s with periods of sunshine and dry conditions persisting.
