Tracking light rain and mild temperatures

After a line of showers and thunderstorms have passed through northeast Kansas and northwest Missouri light rain will continue through mid-morning. A few spotty showers are possible around lunchtime. Later this afternoon, clouds will stick around making it mostly to partly cloudy. It will be breezy, with south winds sustained between 10 and 15 mph and gusts up to 22 mph. Temperatures will be mild, with highs in the upper 70s. Clouds will start to clear tonight, and temperatures will drop to the low 60s.

Tomorrow, sunshine returns with a few passing clouds. Wednesday marks the start of a warming trend as above-average temperatures make a return. Afternoon highs are expected in the mid-80s, with overnight lows in the low 60s again. By Thursday, late-summer heat builds in with highs in the upper 80s.
