Tracking lingering heat and sunshine, spotty rain chances
Seasonably hot and humid conditions will continue across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas for the rest of the work week. A cold front will pass through the region late Friday, bringing t-storm chances through Saturday, before ushering in a much cooler pattern next week.
Partly cloudy skies and a slight chance of stray showers Wednesday afternoon and evening will give way to clearing overnight with lows in the mid 60s after midnight. Patchy fog is possible early Thursday, with sunshine for the afternoon and highs in the mid to upper 80s. Periods of sunshine and afternoon heat continue Friday, before an approaching cold front triggers spotty rain and t-storms Friday night and early Saturday. High temperatures will fall into the low to mid 80s Saturday afternoon with 70s and dry skies by Sunday as a cooler and drier air mass settles into the region.Â
