Tracking sunny days ahead along with above-average temperatures

Today, skies will be dry across northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas. Sunshine is expected with a few passing clouds around lunchtime and late this afternoon. Starting today, temperatures will run above average for this time of year. Afternoon highs will reach the mid-80s, with overnight lows in the low 60s.

Dry skies continue into the late-week. Sunshine and above-average temperatures will stick around. Thursday will be toasty, with highs in the upper 80s. By Friday and into the weekend, it will turn hot as highs climb into the low 90s. Weekend highs will be about 10 degrees above average for this time of year. Luckily, dew points will hold in the low 60s, keeping it from feeling too humid.
