Tracking a seasonable Fourth of July: strong, scattered storms possible tomorrow

Happy Fourth of July, St. Joseph!
Today's forecast will be hot, humid, and mostly dry. There is a slight chance for pop-up thunderstorms this afternoon, but we are trending on the drier side. It will be sunny this morning, with increasing cloud cover by the afternoon. Highs are expected to reach the low 90s, but with humidity, it will feel more like the mid-90s. Southerly winds will become breezy later in the day, with gusts up to 20 mph.
Tonight, if you're heading out to view fireworks, skies will be dry with a few clouds. Winds will diminish later this evening, sustaining between 5 and 10 mph.
Tomorrow, multiple chances for showers and thunderstorms return. These storms will be scattered, and a few could be strong to severe, capable of producing damaging winds up to 60 mph and heavy downpours. Temperatures will be seasonable in the upper 80s on both Saturday and Sunday. A few showers and thunderstorms are also possible on Sunday.
