Tracking possible scattered thunderstorms this evening: hot and humid weekend

This morning, once again, we are waking up to mostly cloudy skies. We'll have a dry start to the day, but there's a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms in the area. These storms will be hit-or-miss, so not everyone will see rain this evening. Temperatures will be cooler compared to what's ahead for the weekend, with afternoon highs in the low 80s. Winds will remain light out of the west. Skies will clear tonight, allowing for a cooler night with lows dropping into the low 60s.
Tomorrow, the heat begins as highs climb into the 90s under mostly sunny and dry skies. Winds will stay light. On Friday, it gets even hotter with highs in the mid-90s and dew points in the 70s, creating humid conditions.
This weekend will stay hot, but winds will pick up out of the south, with gusts reaching up to 30 mph.
