This morning, we are beginning to dry out, but there is still the possibility of a few storms through midmorning. Today’s severe weather threat could bring all hazards to the area, as we may see two rounds of strong storms. Afternoon highs are expected to reach the mid-70s as a warm front moves through the region. Along this front, the first round of storms could develop, with a second round expected later in the evening ahead of an approaching cold front. These storms could include damaging winds, hail, tornadoes and localized flash flooding. Storm development may begin after 1 p.m. as a low-pressure system tracks across the region. Heavy rainfall is still possible, with an additional 1.5 to 2 inches of rain expected on top of what fell last night. Stay weather-aware today and ensure you have a reliable way to receive alerts.

Tomorrow, a few lingering storms and showers are possible before giving way to mostly cloudy skies in the afternoon. Temperatures will be below average, marking the start of a cooler pattern expected to last through the week.
