Tracking spotty showers today and tomorrow: sunny weekend ahead

This morning, skies will be cloudy and remain mostly dry. Later this afternoon, the chance for spotty showers and thunderstorms increases to 40%. The highest rain chances will stay south of Highway 36. Despite the cloud cover, afternoon highs are expected to reach the low 70s.

Tonight, there is still a 40% chance of showers in the area, and temperatures will drop into the low 50s. Winds will remain light from the east, shifting to a northeast direction by tomorrow.

On Thursday, there is a 20% chance of isolated showers in the morning. Skies will remain partly to mostly cloudy, with seasonable afternoon highs. Clouds will begin to clear Thursday evening, allowing temperatures to drop into the upper 40s.

Friday marks the start of sunny skies heading into the weekend, with mild temperatures in the mid-70s.
