Trump is sole owner

of his troubles

John Schroeder’s lengthy rant is nothing but a Donald Trump “I’m being picked on” cry.

Trump has no respect for our form of government, our country, or the people that serve it. He brags about sexually touching women and is finally paying for how he treated a woman. He brags about how rich he is but lies about the valuation of his property to cheat on his taxes. He called a state official trying to change an election. He took classified documents to Florida then lied about having them. It is not difficult to portray Trump as a villain.

If you, Mr. Schroeder, or I did any of those things, we would be investigated, prosecuted and forgotten.

I am a veteran and a retired law enforcement officer of 34 years. I was both sickened and enraged watching Trump’s minions attempt to destroy the U.S. Capitol, my Capitol.

The Democrats are not at fault for the legal troubles of Donald Trump. He is the sole owner.

When I’m president

This was my first letter to the editor written in April 2011.

What would you do as president if you had complete control?

All abortions are illegal, no government funds. Line-item veto for the president. Term limits for politicians. They do not get a full Social Security, nor pension. lOUs no longer can be written against Social Security. Politicians must pay for their own health insurance. No more earmarks. Each bill stands alone. There will be spending limits on campaigning. You can own firearms. A national photo ID.

Illegals are deported immediately. Military forces used in any foreign country for their protection will be paid for by that country. Felons do not vote.

Marriage is between a man and a woman. Adoption benefits are for adopting American children.

Crimes against children are punished by 25 years in prison or death if the child is killed.

Military spending is determined by the Chiefs of Staff. No longer will we contribute the majority of the cost of the United Nations budget. Capital gains taxes and death taxes are cut.

ROTC back on campus. All national security leaks are considered an act of treason, no more “gates” investigations. Ban on drilling is lifted. We will have a balanced budget.

More nuclear plants. Solar and wind in all areas of the USA, the rich get to look at them, too. Do not have to join a union. Military is no longer handcuffed, win it and come home. If information from a terrorist can save lives, use all means to get it.

Global warming “consensus” is not an option, facts are! Broadcast news reports the news — not make it. Schools must teach the basics, and test scores matter for funding. No elected official can take free trips. Ex-politicians cannot become lobbyists. Now 468 of them!

No insider trading/legislation. All foreign aid would be reviewed. Many will be reviewed, many will be eliminated.

A bushel of corn exported equal to the cost of a barrel of oil when sold to an oil producing country. Congress does not get special healthcare. They get what we get.

Military serving in non-combat areas to be placed on our southern borders. The fence will be completed! The borders are closed.

A cap placed on CEO bonuses based on profits and shareholders’ approval.

Multi-millionaires and billionaires cannot give untold millions to any political group, PAC or party! The media outlets must limit their political influence by honestly reporting the actual news.

English is the official language of the USA. Illegals cannot vote until they are a U.S. citizen.

Taxes owed must be paid before running for office. No going to war or aid to countries without congressional approval first.

I know many will say these will not work. Maybe so, but how can they be any worse than the trillions in debt the current group have gotten us into?
