Sanger, Mary T. 1931-2025 Mandeville, La.

MANDEVILLE, La. Mary Teresa Wawrzyniak Sanger, a longtime resident of St. Joseph, and a resident of Mandeville, Louisiana, for the past 10 years, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 3, 2025, in Mandeville, at the age of 93. Mary was born Sept. 19, 1931, in Halls, Missouri, to Francis Joseph and Mary Eta Roberts Wawrzyniak.
In 1950 she married John Joseph Sanger, in St. Joseph. Mary worked at Noma Lights, Kresge’s, and retired from TG&Y Stores in St. Joseph.
Mary was preceded in death by a grandson, Joseph William Sanger.
She is survived by her husband of 75 years, John Joseph Sanger; daughter, Teresa Marie Brown (Bertrum Brown); son, Leon James Sanger (Shirley Marie Danner Sanger); grandchildren, James Hiatt, Jamie Marks (Danny), Jennie Labry (Ray), Jessica Picard (Chad), Jillian Sanger (James Lusk); great-grandchildren, Hannah Marks, Mackenzie Marks, Ayden Marks, Landyn Marks, Ray Paul Labry, Jax Picard, Kylie Sanger, Jolene Lusk; brother, Robert Lee Wawrzyniak. Rosary will be prayed at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2025, at the Rupp Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends until 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2025, at Horigan Chapel, in Mount Olivet Cemetery, St. Joseph.
