Gary Lee Reynolds, 82, St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025. He was born Oct. 7, 1942, to Fred and Helen (Stumpf) Reynolds, in St. Joseph.

Gary married Dona Joan Pearl on Oct. 23, 1964.

He was a graduate of Central High School, and his commitment to excellence propelled him in his career with the Steam Fitters & Pipe Fitters Local 45, where he dedicated 25 years before retiring in the mid ’80s. Gary and Dona were avid antique collectors in previous years thus was his affinity for cars. After his retirement, Gary channeled his entrepreneurial spirit into Reynolds & Reynolds Auto Sales in 1978, which he operated until 2006, leaving a mark in the industry as Past President of the Missouri Used Car Association. His passions extended to Harley Motorcycles and his membership with the National Rifle Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Reynolds; and sister, Barbara Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Dona; daughter, Terri Reynolds; siblings, Lee Reynolds, Scott Reynolds, Leslie Weller, and Carol Zan.

Farewell Services and Public Livestream 10 a.m. Monday, April 7, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Inurnment Savannah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to AseraCare Hospice or the Mark Reynolds Memorial Bike Fund.
