Rusty Wayne Van, 38, of St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024. He was born Nov. 21, 1985, in Fairfax, Missouri, son of the late Rose and Ricky Van. He worked at Snorkel, Triumph foods, and Rite Pac. He enjoyed working on cars, fishing, and music.

Rusty was preceded in death by his parents and maternal grandfather, Dale.

He is survived by Erica, and their children, Lexi Parker, Jayden Swope, RevonVan and Rylah Van; sister, Zelma; brother, Duane; and maternal grandmother, Ruby.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Monday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Memorial services following Monday, Oct. 7, 2024, at 2 p.m. at the Rupp Funeral Home. He will be cremated under the direction of the Rupp Funeral Home.

Memorials are requested to the Rusty Van memorial fund in care of the Rupp Funeral Home.
