Several local businesses and organizations are hosting food drives to support those in need in St. Joseph for Thanksgiving.

Alchemy Tea Co. is hosting a Thanksgiving food drive that also benefits the donors.

The company is taking nonperishable food items worth $5, and in return the donator gets a free $5 boba tea of their choice.

Second Harvest Community Food Bank is hosting another turkey giveaway this year, with registration from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, and the actual distribution on Thursday, Nov. 21. Email info@shcfb.org or call 816-364-3663 for information.

There will be another turkey distribution on Nov. 20 involving InterServ. Call 816-238-4511 for details.

Local Girl Scouts also will have food drives on Saturday, Nov. 16, that benefit multiple nonprofits.
