Seasonably hot and humid conditions will continue across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas for the rest of the work week. A cold front will pass through the region late Friday, bringing t-storm chances through Saturday, before ushering in a much cooler pattern next week.

Patchy cloud coverage and slight rain chances Tuesday evening will give way to mostly sunny skies and toasty afternoons through the middle and later half of the work week. A cold front will sweep through Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas Friday evening, bringing a brief period of spotty rain chances before ushering in cooler air just in time for the weekend.

Spotty t-storm chances and hot, humid conditions will continue across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas Monday and Tuesday, before dry skies and seasonable temperatures build into the region later in the week. 

Hot and humid conditions continue with triple-digit heat index values, limited overnight relief, and increasing chances for rain and storms late Sunday into Tuesday before a cooler midweek cooldown.

A Heat Advisory remains in place across all of Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas Friday, August 15 and Saturday, August 16 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. each day. 

High intensity heat and humidity will once again make headlines across the Central Plains late this week and into the weekend as temperatures rise across the region.

Scattered thunderstorm chances will linger across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas Monday afternoon and overnight, before a warming and drying trend take place through the middle of the work week.

Tracking scattered rain to start the week, with clearing skies and a gradual warm-up into the 90s by the weekend.

Rounds of thunderstorm activity are likely across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas late Saturday, Sunday, and into Monday, posing a risk for heavy rainfall and flooding.

Intense heat and humidity will linger Friday and into parts of Saturday, before rounds of scattered thunderstorm activity develop later in the weekend.

A Heat Advisory has been issued for all of Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, August 8.
