A discussion on this area’s rocks and minerals will highlight National Fossil Day at the Rolling Hills Library.

John Pope, a retired geology professor from Northwest Missouri State University, will speak about the natural history of northern Missouri at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16, in the library’s Belt branch community room. People who aren’t sure of the types of fossils and rocks they have collected can bring them for Pope to look over.
