SJSD School Board evaluating seven candidates to fill vacant seat

The St. Joseph School District Board of Education will hold a Special Meeting to select a candidate to fill Rick Gehring's position on the board.

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (News-Press NOW) -- The St. Joseph School District is working to fill an empty seat on its Board of Education during a special meeting Wednesday night. 

Board members will evaluate seven candidates to fill the position left by Rick Gehring, after he resigned last month. 

The candidates include: Dr. William (Bill) Couldry, Tom Richmond, Cassandra Veale, Jacob McMillian, Katherine Seufert, James Young and Kenneth Reeder.  

The meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m. at SJSD's Administration building, formerly known as Noyes Elementary, located at 1415 N. 26th St.
