Chenoweth, Mildred L. 1935-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

Mildred Louise Chenoweth, 89, of St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025, in St. Joseph. She was born Nov. 16, 1935, in Halls, Missouri, daughter of the late, Myrtle and Archie Boyer.
She married Frank on June 6, 1953, and the rest was history. She worked at Peach Tree Door putting the glass into the doors. Mildred loved her bowling and bingo, she had tons of bowling trophies and jackpot wins to prove it. She could always be found at her grandchildren’s baseball games, for her family was always number one. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; brother, Alva Lee Boyer; sisters, Bonnie Mae Downing, Roberta “Sis” Horseman and Margaret Lucille Ashlock.
Survivors include son, Carl (Cheri) Chenoweth, of Amazonia, Missouri; daughters, Carla Chenoweth and Cheryl (Rodney) Matthews; brothers, Robert (Fanny) Boyer, of St. Joseph, and Patrick (Rita) Boyer; sisters, Lona Arnold, of Joplin, Missouri and Pam Ranney, of St. Joseph; grandchildren, Anita, Carl Jr. (Heather), Jeffrey (Tara), Jimmy and Derek (Ashley); and great-grandchildren, Brendon, Hannah, Karly, Cadence, Isaac, Kendal, Braiden, Emillie, and McKynlee.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20, 2025, at Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and public live stream 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20, 2025, at Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will follow at Savannah Cemetery.
