Kerns Jr., Rodger D. 1969-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

Rodger Dale Kerns Jr., 55, of St. Joseph, passed away Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025. He was born Dec. 6, 1969, in St. Joseph, son of Brenda and Rodger Kerns Sr.

He worked at Wire Rope as a Machine operator. Rodger enjoyed gardening and nature.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rodger D. Kerns Sr. and a brother, Mike Kerns.

Survivors include mother, Brenda Kerns; sons, Skylar Starks and Brody Kerns; daughter, Colbie Kerns; brother, Rick and David Kerns; and his sister, Tammy Kerns.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday at the Rupp Funeral Home.
