Nurski Sr., Richard P. 1938-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

Richard Paul Nurski Sr., 87, of St. Joseph, passed away, Monday, Aug. 25, 2025, at Mosaic Life Care, in St. Joseph. He was born April 9, 1938, in St. Joseph.

On Jan. 21, 1959, he married the love of his life, Erma Hoffman. He retired from the Stockyards of St. Joseph, after 35 years. He loved fishing and hunting in his younger days.

Preceding him in death are his parents; sister and brother-in-law Carolyn and Gary Standefer.

Survivors include wife, Erma Nurski; son, Richard (Rhonda) Nurski Jr.; daughter, Lisa Hogan; granddaughters, Chrissy Russell, Jaycee (Brett) Farmer, and Carsyn (Dylan) McGuire; great-grandchildren, Nicolas, Zachary, Cooper, Gavin, Reagan, and Bowen; several nieces and nephews; and special helpers, David and Jeannette Adams.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2025, at Mount Auburn Cemetery.
