Celebrate Culture at the 56th Annual St. Patrick’s Fiesta
One of St. Joseph’s most cherished traditions returns this weekend! The 56th Annual St. Patrick’s Fiesta kicks off from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 1, at the St. James Parish Gym (5815 Pryor Ave).
Expect a lively evening featuring traditional Mexican food, live and silent auctions and a fantastic lineup of music. Don’t miss a special performance by Mariachi Fuego from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., followed by Kansas City’s own Mexican-American fusion band Stranded in the City from 8 p.m. to 10 pm.
The celebration continues from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2, at St. Patrick Church (1723 South 12th Street). The night features a delicious variety of Latin American cuisine, fun kids’ activities and a vibrant folkloric dance show at 7 p.m.—complete with dancing horses. It’s an event full of heart, heritage, and high energy. Why siesta when you can fiesta?
