Harris, Vivian L. 1928-2025 King City, Mo.

KING CITY, Mo. – Vivian Lucile Harris, 97, King City, Missouri, passed away Friday, July 25, 2025. She was born June 15, 1928, to John and Gladys (Pistole) Morris.

Vivian attended Northwest, Missouri State Teachers College. She taught school before becoming a full-time wife and mother.

On April 16, 1949, she married Gerald Harris. To this union six children were born. Her husband, Gerald, passed away Feb. 22, 2021.

She is survived by her children, Judy Harris, Jerry (Kathy) Harris, Mark (Lin) Harris, Greg (Tricia) Harris, Scott (Suzanne) Harris; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, step- great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews; one sister, Louise White; and two sisters-in-law.

Preceding Vivian in death was her husband, Gerald; a daughter, Sheila; and her three brothers.

A private inurnment will be held along with her late husband and daughter. Inurnment Whispering Pines Cremation Garden at St. Joseph Memorial Park Cemetery.
