Peterson, Joetta 1941-2025 Pattonsburg, Mo.

PATTONSBURG, Mo. – Joetta (Murphy) Peterson, 83, of Pattonsburg, Missouri, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2025, in a Maryville, Missouri, health care center. She was born Sept. 28, 1941, in Pattonsburg, daughter of Anna and Homer Savage.

She graduated from Pattonsburg High School class of 1959. She was the owner operator of the L&M Tavern, she worked at the Riverboat, and was also an insurance adjuster. Joetta enjoyed playing cards, volunteering at the senior center in Pattonsburg, and she loved her dogs.

Joetta was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl Peterson; son, Todd Clements; and brother, Randall “Bud” Lee Savage.

Survivors include son, Doug (Heather) Plowman, Gower, Missouri; daughters, Angela Holmes and Regina Ritter; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren; and her sister, Beverly (Denny) Shipers, of Pattonsburg.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday at the Rupp Funeral Home.
