One more batch of rain before a drier and warmer end to the work week

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (News-Press NOW) -- Good morning folks. We are in for one more good round of rain here in the Central Plains before conditions are set to dry out over the coming days. Later this evening, a round of showers is set to move into the area and last through much of the overnight hours. The rain should be mostly light to moderate, with no strong or severe thunderstorms expected.
By tomorrow morning, the rain will clear out, and drier conditions will take charge. I do not anticipate much rain activity after about 8 a.m. tomorrow. Drier weather is expected into the weekend and start of next week.
Temperatures will warm slightly today, back into the low 70s. By Friday, we'll be back in the high 70s, before 80s return for the weekend. After all the cool and rainy days, this weekend will put us back on track to more typical weather for this time of year. Enjoy!
