Johnson, Nellie M. 1938-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

Nellie M. Johnson, 86, of St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2025, in St. Joseph. She was born Nov. 28, 1938, in St. Joseph, daughter of Gladys and Bill Sullivan.

Nellie was preceded in death by husband, Max Leroy Johnson; parents; sisters, Sarah Wall, Mary Fimple, Lennie Joswick; brother, Jim Sullivan; and daughter-in-law, Janice Gail Johnson.

Survivors include son, Max (Clella) Johnson; daughter, Vicki (Wesley) Kennedy, of St. Joseph; grandchildren, Joshua Johnson, Sara Stein, Aaron and Eric Kennedy; several great-children; and great- great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, with funeral services and public live stream; 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Sugar Creek Cemetery.
