Don F Aberer, proud Catholic father of eight children, 28 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren, died on April 30, 2025, after complications from heart surgery. Don was born on Oct 5, 1942, in Kansas City, Missouri, to James and Frances Aberer.

Don grew up in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, and went to school at Bishop Miege High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserve, and while training in Monterey, California, he met the love of his life, Diane, and was married on April 24, 1965, at Redemptorist Catholic Church, in Kansas City, Missouri. Don was a machinist at TWA (later American Airlines),

Don was preceded in death by his parents, James B. and Fran Aberer.

He is survived by his loving wife, Diane, of 60 years; his eight children: Sherry (Ken) Phelan, Kenneth (Lorna) Aberer, Michael (Joleen) Aberer, Jennifer (Ben) Cleveland, Deborah (Ryan) Cox, Christina (Jeff) Green, Keith (Heather) Aberer, and Mark Aberer; 28 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and his two brothers, Jim Aberer II and Gary Aberer.

The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with a rosary prayed at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, at Our Lady of Guadalupe catholic church, St. Joseph. Fr. Garrett King Celebrant. Inurnment at the Our Lady of the Cove, Cemetery, Branson Missouri.
