Brumley man accused of shooting at truck is released on bond

A Brumley man accused of shooting at an vehicle during an argument was released Monday after posting a $10,000 bond.According to court records, Brandon Whittle, 49, was charged with first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, first-degree property damage, and armed criminal action following an incident Saturday in Miller County.According to the probable cause statement, deputies were dispatched to a shooting investigation in Brumley. A victim reportedly told investigators that they and another person were in a Dodge pickup truck at Whittle’s residence when Whittle became angry and allegedly shot at the truck, hitting the back window, according to court documents.Court documents state Whittle then followed the truck to one of the victims’ residence, where the victims went inside for safety. Whittle allegedly fired at the truck three more times before leaving the scene, according to court documents.Whittle was allegedly the employer of one of the victims.Whittle was booked into the Miller County Jail on Monday morning and bonded out later that day, records show. A court date has not yet been set.
