Arraignment scheduled for former teacher in sodomy case

By Chris Fortune

A former Robidoux Middle School teacher charged with first-degree sodomy is scheduled to be arraigned next month.

Everett “Tim” Harding, 47, waived his right to a preliminary hearing Thursday afternoon in front of Associate Circuit Judge Rebecca Spencer.

During the hearing, Harding’s attorney, Mark Wissehr, sought an order to change his bond conditions. Spencer amended Harding’s bond to allow him to travel home to Maryville and attend chiropractor appointments.

Harding received a bond of $50,000 on June 11.

Harding is charged in a May 7 incident involving a 14-year-old girl. A probable cause statement in the case alleges that Harding had sexual contact with the girl in his locked classroom after school.

The St. Joseph School District Board of Education fired Harding on June 3.

Harding is scheduled to be arraigned on Sept. 3 at 8:30 a.m. in front of Circuit Court Judge Patrick Robb.
