Missouri Western 23, Nebraska Kearney 24

The Griffs held the lead for most of the game, even boasting a nine point lead in the fourth quarter, but Lopers kept on keeping on. Kearney mounted a comeback and completed it by driving from their own 15-yard line to the Griffon’s 16-yard line to set up a game-winning field goal from Kyle Failing as time expired. Western is now 3-5 on the season.

Northwest Missouri State 30, Central Missouri 35

Not every homecoming can end in a victory. That was the case in Maryville on Saturday when Central Missouri came in and hung the second most points given up by the Bearcats at home this season. The loss is the second in a row for Northwest as the team heads into its bye week at 4-4.

Benedictine 48,

Missouri Baptist 14

The Ravens picked up their sixth win of the year in blowout fashion, scoring at least 45 points for the fifth time this season. Benedictine kept Missouri Baptist scoreless for three of the four quarters and forced two turnovers on the day. Benedictine is now 6-1 with four games remaining in the regular season.

Kansas 42, Houston 14

A bye week served the Jayhawks well, as they snapped a five-game losing streak on Saturday. The Jayhawks saw huge performances from their most important pieces. Jalon Daniels three four 247 yards and three touchdowns, Devin Neal ran for 108 yards and two touchdowns, and Cobee Bryant tallied three interceptions on the day.
