Tracking dry and toasty conditions through Wednesday

Temperatures across the region climbed into the upper 70s Monday afternoon, despite lingering influence from a passing cold front. Conditions were comfortable, but cooler air is on the way. Evening lows are expected to dip well below average, falling nearly 10 degrees below the seasonal norm of 63 degrees.

You may want to grab a light jacket when heading out Tuesday morning, as the day will begin on a chilly note. However, temperatures are expected to rebound quickly, reaching the mid 80s by the afternoon.

By Wednesday, summer-like warmth returns as highs reach into the 90s. Rising humidity will make conditions feel muggy, although dry weather is expected to persist through Wednesday and into Thursday morning.

Scattered showers are possible late Thursday afternoon and into the evening, but widespread rainfall is not expected. Rain chances from Thursday through Saturday remain low and sporadic, meaning many areas will stay dry.

Even with the potential for brief, isolated showers, temperatures are forecasted to remain steady in the mid to upper 80s heading into the weekend.
