Mostly dry today, but storms return tomorrow in St. Joseph

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (News-Press NOW) -- Good morning all and happy Friday! We are going to have a nice day to end the work week, with very limited rain chances in our neck of the woods. As of 5 a.m., there are strong storms well to our south in the southwest corner of the state. Most of today's activity will remain to our south, giving us a fairly dry day, with only a 20% chance for a shower to impact our region. This will change tomorrow with stormy conditions expected to return.

Throughout Saturday, we are looking at storms to move into the St. Joseph area. I don't expect the entire day to be rainy, but I do expect the storms to bring a few hours of solid rain before starting to clear out at night. We are also looking at the potential for a strong storm or two. The chance of that happening is relatively low, but folks should prepare for the chance for strong wind gusts. Only folks who are in close proximity to a storm will have the potential for damaging winds- if any.

By Sunday, we will start to dry out, making for the perfect end to the weekend. Temperatures will start to warm Sunday afternoon and throughout the next week into the high 70s and low to mid 80s by the week's end. Ultimately, if you can make it through one more stormy day on Saturday, you'll be in for pleasant weather to start next week!
