Another rainy day with a few more days of rain ahead for the Central Plains

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (News-Press NOW) -- Good morning folks. We are looking at another day of rain here in the Central Plains. Expect off and on rain showers throughout the entire day today with low accumulation totals by the end of the day. You won't have to worry about any severe weather today, nor will there be high rainfall totals. Overall, just expect some slick roads and muddy dirt patches outside today.

Highs today will run in the mid 60s which is several degrees below average. We'll be back in the low 70s tomorrow, and will continue a warming trend into the weekend. Normal afternoon highs this time of year run around 80 degrees.

Tomorrow during the day we are looking a bit dry, but tomorrow evening and overnight, another batch of rain is set to move into the area.
