Calm today, but rain expected through Memorial Day Weekend

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (News-Press NOW) -- Good morning all. I have good news and bad news in today's forecast. The good news is today will be a spectacular day here in the Central Plains. You won't have to worry about anything weather wise, as temperatures will be cool and comfortable in the high 60s and low 70s, skies will be clear and rain free, and winds will be just a tad breezy. Overall, today is looking like a nice day outside. Things will quickly change as we head into the weekend.

It's Memorial Day Weekend, which is the unofficial start to summer! Many of us are ready to hit the pools, but this weekend is not shaping up to be so pool friendly. Daily rain chances begin tomorrow and last through Monday. Sunday looks to be the rainiest day as of now, though each day looks to bring some rain through our area, if not just once, then multiple times. With that said, it would be a good idea to start making your plans flexible.

Temperatures remain cool and comfortable for the next seven days. Daily highs will sit in the high 60s and low 70s each day this week. Make sure you have the rain gear handy folks!
